Dear Senator,
Two years ago on August 4th, the Great American Outdoors Act, one of the most historic pieces of legislation passed for national parks and public lands, became law. This victory would not have happened without your steadfast leadership. We hope to celebrate this major achievement with you next Thursday.
Hundreds of repair projects are happening, and it is clear the law is having a huge impact protecting resources, providing public access, repairing infrastructure and enhancing visitor experiences in parks throughout the country. For example, trails are being restored at Mammoth Cave National Park, campgrounds rehabilitated at Yosemite National Park and tour experiences improved at Saratoga National Historical Park. These investments are supporting the national economy and creating jobs in countless communities.
We hope you’ll join us in celebrating these victories. We will be happy to share a social media toolkit with you early next week. In the meantime, you can find projects in your state here.
