It has been a little quiet on the blog front recently, so I just wanted to jump on and post a quick update.
We are working overtime on numerous actions and items as 2019 reaches the homestretch. Several members of our Executive Council have met with editorial boards at newspapers from Washington to Maine, advocating for mandatory, full funding for LWCF. We are pitching op-eds on appropriations, LWCF, and the importance of our national parks and national park service employees to numerous media outlets. And we’re starting work on several large, yearly initiatives such as our annual giving campaign and the annual report which will come out in January.
The pace of business ebbs and flows at times but we’re busy behind the scenes, making sure our voices of experience are heard loud and clear. Keep an eye out for a few things coming soon; a new blog post about another incredible Friends’ Group and a letter about our annual giving campaign will be coming to a mailbox near you soon. And there will be more actions to report before the end of the year, as we continue to be a strong and vocal advocate for our national park system.
