This administration continues to prioritize the interests of oil and gas companies and industry over public health and the protection of our planet. This is unacceptable.
The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) is a critical tool that allows the National Park Service and other federal agencies to protect and preserve irreplaceable natural and cultural resources for future generations. And it gives communities – especially those in low income or marginalized areas – a chance to have a voice in decisions that impact their health and safety.
By weakening NEPA and allowing projects to move forward without proper review and public input – and ignoring the impacts of these projects on climate change – President Trump and his administration are jeopardizing the health of our environment and the American people.
