Coalition Statement on House Spending Packages

For Immediate Release: 12/18/19

“We are pleased to see the increase to the National Park Service budget and appreciate the bipartisan investment in our national parks and public lands. Our national parks and national park service employees help to ensure that irreplaceable natural and cultural resources are preserved for the enjoyment of future generations. To do this, they must receive appropriate levels of funding.

We appreciate the work of Congressional appropriators to fight for full funding for LWCF and believe that the increase in funding given to this program in FY 2020 is a step forward. However, we are disappointed that it did not receive the mandatory, full-funding it deserves and will continue to advocate for this critical investment in our future.”
